Extrusion coating
On extrusion-coating lines there are at least two scanners installed. At first the thickness of extruded substrate (PET e.g.) will be measured and controlled (if an automatic extrusion-die is installed).

The difference profile of both scanner shows the thickness of the coating (lamination) layer. The thickness of the coated layer can be controlled also.

Extrusion lamination:
On an extrusion lamination line, to substrates are bound together with a melt coming from an extruder equipped with a lamination-die (see chapter extrusion-dies).
